About This Painting
This is a painting of an actual scene on Lowestoft beach in Suffolk on a very moody, snowy day in 2010 or thereabouts. I took my camera to the beach because I had never seen one covered in snow before. The landscape itself was transformed to the point where it was surreal enough for me to just duplicate exactly what I photographed. The central figure and foreground table with parasol being the only real apparent colour.
